Daniel works as a curator and organiser of sound and art events in the UK and abroad. In the UK he has worked with venues such as Cafe OTO, De La Warr Pavilion, Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, the Sallis Benney Theatre and in various contemporary art gallery spaces.
His work with international organisations stems from a passion for connecting artists and communities over borders. International collaborations include Diep~Haven (northern France), Galerie Spektral (Berlin), and Edge of Wrong (South Africa / Norway). He is also a founding member of SENSA (Sonic Exploration Network Southern Africa), an organisation promoting Southern African experimental and abstract music within the region and across the world.
Alongside live events his activities have placed him in creative roles for theatrical productions, club nights, festivals, exhibitions, installations, immersive and online streamed experiences. Organisations include Wake the Tiger (Bristol), Boomtown (Bristol) and Newtoy (London). For Newtoy Daniel took a lead role in their online listening arts project We’re All Bats, sourcing, curating and programming a variety of web based experiences revolving around the discovery and sharing of sound and music.
As an individual and group member Daniel has provided stages, spaces and opportunities for artists from Japan, Nigeria, Namibia, the US, Israel, Germany, South Korea, Sweden, Poland, The Netherlands, Australia and other parts of the world. He also counts numerous forward thinking organisations among his always growing network, including Digital in Berlin (Berlin), Madeiradig (Portugal) and Outlands (UK), and with these keeps open dialogues for exchange and collaboration.
